I have a lot to say about food!

My lil services blog ere isn't really appropriate, so I've started a new blog all about eating well in Newquay.

Businesses I trust and, therefore, work with, I'll still list here . . . .

But monumental places to eat in Newquay will be listed at m foodie blog ;)

GANESHA The New Thai Food Takeaway in Newquay

Ok, so I am a total food head, right! I adore well cooked food, either local or international flavours. My favourite international flavour is Thai Food . . . . hands down!!

Which is why I've had to write this review. I had, very recently, a stunningly authentic Thai Panang Curry, Pad Thai Noodles with Thai Chicken Satay for a starter, from the new Thai takeaway in Newquay.

Wow it was tasty. Very fresh, succulent King Prawns, authentic REAL Thai Sweet Basil (so many Thai cooks use cheap Italian Salad Basil down here in Cornwall, which is such a shame, as the liquorice flavours from the leaves MAKE a Panang, and a Green and Red curry for that matter. I know there are import restrictions on Thai Kaffir Lime leaves, but I don't understand why any Thai Chef would choose to use Italian Basil instead of Thai Sweet Basil, as it's readily available.

Any hoo, I'm digressing, back to the food and the establishment. If you walk from The Central Inn in Central Square, and walk towards Towan Beach, down the hill towards the Walkabout Australian Themed Bar; you will walk down Beach Road. Ganesha Thai Takeaway in on the left as you walk down Beach Road. It's next door to A2B Taxi Office.

This is a street view of Beach Parade on Beach Road. Although Google photographed this image before Ganesha opened their doors Ganesha Takeaway is in the lower level of these units on the left.

They offer a smashing varied menu which includes a traditional Kaeng Pa Jungle Curry, Massaman Curry with Potatoes a refreshing range of Thai Salads with zingy lime and lemon juice dressings. For starters you will find Barbecued Pork with Chilli Sauce (Moo Yang), Tempura Vegetables or King Prawns, their very tasty and traditional Thai Fish Cakes.

All in all, a truly magical little experience. After ordering on the phone, I decided to wander down to see the building, to find out where they were. It was a lovely surprise walking into the takeaway; it's open plan, so you can see the chefs at work building your awesome collection of flavours, lovely touch. If you close your eyes, take in the smells from the kitchen, take in the hussle and bussle from the Newquay Streets; one is back in Bangkok having ordered great Thai Street Food from a street vendor . . . . . . magical!

Go and see Oi or Jamie at Ganesha Thai Takeaway Newquay . . . . Great people, great service and most importantly very very great food!!!

You can phone your order in on 07772 69 5273 or visit their website thaitakeaway-newquay.co.uk

One last thing to add. If you have an event, festival or party coming up, Jamie and Oi can take their great Thai Food on the road with their fleet of Thai Event Catering Trailers. Well kitted with an exceptional team of Thai Chefs ready to churn out good food all day and all night.

Enjoy the very best in Thai takeout Cuisine here in Newquay.

All the best,

Ollie.

PS I'm not gonna post any more foodie type things 'ere . . . . I'll do that on my good food in newquay blog ;) 'appy daze
